GTAs help teach in BS161, BS162, BS171, BS172, BS191H, and BS192H. GTA positions in these courses are allocated to coordinating departments based on their participation in the BioSci program. Departments assign graduate students to fill these positions based on a variety of factors determined by the department. The following departments assign graduate students to fill BioSci Teaching Assistant positions: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Integrative Biology, Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, Plant Biology, and Fisheries and Wildlife. If you are a graduate student in one of these departments, please contact that department for additional information. In cases where the department is unable to fill these positions, students in other graduate programs may be eligible for these positions. If you are in a department that does not participate in the BioSci program, please fill out this form and we will contact you if any positions become available. Appointments for Fall semester are typically assigned in May, for Spring semester in November and for the first summer session in April.
