Jenifer Saldanha (she/her)
Assistant Professor
During my PhD and as a Postdoctoral fellow, I studied stress responses and resistance
in the model organismCaenorhabditis elegans and also developed and led a Learning Community for undergraduate, exploratory students.
I am involved in research focused on developing strategies and innovations to promote
student retention and success in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)
classrooms.
I care deeply about science and science education and genuinely want my students and
mentees to be successful. I love collaborating with my colleagues to create exciting
and engaging opportunities for students to learn about and apply the process of science
in the classroom.
