Jinjie Liu

Assistant Professor

Jinjie Liu's photoAt the Biological Sciences Program, I mainly coordinate and teach the Course-based Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) sections of BS171. I use an evidence-based approach to explore the impacts of the CURE curriculum and instructional materials on student learning. My science research focuses on plant lipid metabolism and lipid-derived signaling, aiming to increase oil content in photosynthetic organisms and develop stress-resilient crops. Additionally, I extend some of the CURE concepts into an outreach curriculum and facilitate workshops for high school students.
