Katie Krueger (she/her)

Biological Sciences Assistant Director and Assistant Professor

Katie Krueger's Photo

I earned my PhD in Neurosciences from Case Western Reserve University, where I studied gene regulation in serotonin neuron development. My postdoctoral research at Stanford University focused on gene expression in stem cells found in adipose tissue. After teaching for several years at Santa Clara University, I joined the MSU BioSci Program in 2017. I love all topics in intro bio (DNA especially!), and enjoy that each semester brings fresh insights and viewpoints from students and members of the teaching team.

Currently, I am an instructor and curriculum coordinator for BS161: Cell and Molecular Biology as well as the Assistant Director for the Biological Sciences Program.
